Ganesh Chaturthi 2026: Signify Installs 500 EcoLink BLDC Fans at Lalbaugcha Raja

Signify has brought its EcoLink energy-efficient fan technology to Lalbaugcha Raja this Ganesh Chaturthi, installing around 500 BLDC fans across the pandal and queue areas during the 10-day festival.

The installation is aimed at improving airflow and comfort for devotees spending time in queues and crowded areas during darshan. The fans will operate around the clock throughout the 10-day celebration.

The installation includes four EcoLink fan models, AiroJewel, AiroTrio, AiroKristal and AiroQuad 3B, all powered by Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor technology. According to Signify, BLDC fans consume up to 50% less electricity than conventional induction motor fans, which typically have a power input of 75-80 watts.

With the fans operating 24 hours a day during the festival, the installation is expected to consume approximately 4,200 units of electricity in total. Signify said the deployment demonstrates the use of energy-efficient cooling technology in a large public setting while addressing the comfort needs of visitors.

“Ganesh Chaturthi is a time when people come together, and for us at Signify, this is a chance to contribute in a way that's true to what we stand for, innovation that shows up in real spaces and real experiences,” said Nikhil Gupta, Head of Strategy and Marketing, Signify Greater India. “With EcoLink's BLDC fans, we are bringing energy-efficient cooling to Lalbaugcha Raja to make the darshan journey more comfortable for devotees.”

The EcoLink presence extends across several areas of the Lalbaugcha Raja venue, with branding through large hoardings, drop-downs, lilliputs and other visibility assets across the pandal and queue areas.

The company is also taking the activation beyond the venue. Personal handheld fans will be available for visitors to purchase as part of the EcoLink presence during the festival.

As part of its on-ground engagement, Signify will also host an interactive activity inviting visitors to test how loudly they can cheer “Hawa Cha Raja EcoLink”. Participants will have a chance to win gifts through the activity.

The activation comes as brands increasingly use major cultural and religious events to bring products directly into consumer environments. For Signify, the Lalbaugcha Raja association provides a high-footfall setting to demonstrate EcoLink's cooling technology while building visibility for its energy-efficiency proposition.

With around 500 fans deployed across areas used by devotees, the installation places the product at the centre of the festival experience rather than limiting the brand's presence to conventional advertising displays.
