PropertyPistol has elevated Hemant Bajaj to Chief Business & Marketing Officer (CBMO), expanding his mandate to oversee the company’s business operations across India and international markets.
Bajaj, who joined PropertyPistol earlier this year as Chief Marketing Officer, will now oversee key business verticals including Primary Sales, Mandates, Syndicate and Loans, along with strategy and operating execution.
The expanded role brings the company’s major revenue-generating and customer-facing functions under a common leadership structure. Bajaj will be responsible for growth, operating efficiency and overall business performance across these verticals.
Since joining the company, Bajaj has focused on strengthening execution across the business, with an emphasis on improving productivity and return on investment from key growth initiatives. In his new role, he will lead a business organisation of more than 500 employees across India and international markets.
His focus will include profitable growth, stronger unit economics and improving operating leverage as the company scales its business. Bajaj brings experience across India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, spanning business growth, marketing, operations and organisational scale-up.
Commenting on the appointment, Ashish Narain Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director, PropertyPistol, said Bajaj has demonstrated the ability to translate business priorities into commercial outcomes. He added that the expanded mandate reflects both his contribution to the company and his broader leadership capabilities.
Bajaj said his focus in the new role would be on improving the economics of growth rather than simply expanding individual business verticals. He said the priority would be to improve revenue productivity and ensure that the company’s existing scale translates into stronger business outcomes.
PropertyPistol has built its business across developers, brokers and homebuyers, and Bajaj’s expanded mandate comes as the company looks to improve performance across its existing operations while scaling further in domestic and international markets.
The appointment effectively combines business and marketing leadership under Bajaj, giving him responsibility for both growth initiatives and the commercial performance of the company’s key business verticals.
